The role of Duty Manager - Fueling at Swissport is essential to maintaining the safety, efficiency, and quality of fueling operations within the aviation sector. This full-time position commands an annual salary of $71,000 and includes a suite of health and wellness benefits, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, paid vacation, sick time, and paid company holidays. As a Duty Manager - Fueling, your responsibilities will include overseeing the safe and efficient operation of into-plane fueling activities ensuring all customer service standards and contractual obligations are met. The candidate will be expected to manage daily operational tasks, perform auditing activities to ensure compliance with fuel quality and safety standards, enforce company policies, and maintain regulatory adherence to guidelines set by FAA, TSA, IATA, ATA, and other relevant authorities.
This role demands a high level of organizational skill, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and coordinate teams while managing compliance with complex safety and operational regulations. The Duty Manager will liaise regularly with customers, airport authorities, and government agencies to maintain optimal service levels and operational efficiency. Additionally, the role requires effective management of staff time to minimize overtime and ensure smooth operational flow. Coaching and discipline of employees to align with company policies are critical functions, alongside preparing reports on operational data, including payroll entries using systems such as KRONOS.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years into-plane fueling experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with Windows Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to perform multi-tasking

- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical or operating procedures or government regulations
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables

- Thorough knowledge and work experience with Windows Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to perform multi-tasking
Job Duties
- Responsible for quality, health, safety, and environmental activities at the station with an objective of reducing employee injuries, aircraft, and equipment damage
- Enforce company safety and health policies and ensure the safe and efficient use of fueling equipment
- Ensure that FAA, TSA, IATA, ATA, U.S. Customs, and airport authority rules and regulations are complied with
- Audit and correct fuel-related paperwork, as required
- Ensure compliance with ATA 103 Fuel Quality Control Specification, NFPA 407, and FAR Part 139.321
- Complete daily reports, to include payroll (KRONOS) data entries
- Effectively manages staff time to reduce dependence on overtime
- Coach, counsel, discipline employees who violate company policy
- Liaise regularly with all customers, airport authority, and governmental agency representatives
- Confer with branch administrative personnel and review activity, operating, and sales reports to determine adequacy of services or determine changes as required
