The role of Back of House (BOH) Team Leader at Pacific Catch is a critical position responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of kitchen functions. This full-time, hourly role demands dedication to maintaining both the culinary standards and the vibrant culture of the kitchen team. Reporting directly to the Chef, the BOH Team Leader oversees daily kitchen operations, ensuring ingredients meet strict freshness and quality standards. The ideal candidate is experienced in kitchen management with a hands-on approach to executing recipes, managing inventory, and coaching team members. With an emphasis on leadership, the BOH Team Leader fosters a professional, respectful, and motivating environment where collaboration and excellent food preparation converge to achieve memorable guest experiences. This position involves a 40-hour work week complemented by scheduled and occasional overtime to support business needs.

Pacific Catch offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $22.00 to $33.00, inclusive of expected overtime pay. This position not only demands culinary skill and strong leadership but also adaptability to evolving business needs and a passion for fostering a kitchen environment that delivers consistently outstanding food and service. Team members in this position will engage closely with management to uphold brand standards, manage food waste, coordinate kitchen resources, and contribute to a seamless guest experience. Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 5 hours
  • Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary arts degree preferred
  • Be team focused, able to lead and motivate
  • Two years BOH management experience in a high volume, full-service restaurant
  • Technology savvy, comfortable with MS Office, Google Apps/programs, Toast POS and HARRI Time and Scheduling
  • Must possess exemplary knife skills and the ability to coach/train others
  • Demonstrated success in managing people and strong leadership skills
  • English proficient, bilingual a plus

Job Duties

  • Assist with overseeing day-to-day culinary operations
  • Line checks to ensure freshness and quality of ingredients
  • Maintain proper kitchen culture and a professional environment
  • Execute and maintain prep and dish recipes
  • Work with management to create a memorable experience for guests
  • Ensure plate presentation meets standards and excites guests
  • Train, coach, and inspire BOH team
  • Maintain kitchen equipment
  • Manage ordering and inventory
  • Onboard and schedule BOH team members
