Job Description

Pechanga Resort and Casino is a world-class destination located in Temecula, California, known for its exceptional hospitality, luxurious accommodations, and diverse entertainment options. As one of the largest tribal resorts in the United States, Pechanga combines the rich heritage of the Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indians with modern luxury to create an unparalleled guest experience. The resort offers a variety of dining experiences, from casual fare to fine dining, each designed to showcase quality, innovation, and a welcoming atmosphere. With a commitment to Four Diamond service standards, Pechanga Resort and Casino maintains a high level of excellence in customer service, making it a premier choice for visitors seeking a memorable getaway.

The Server role at Pechanga Resort and Casino is a critical position within the resort's food and beverage department, serving as the ambassador of guest service in the various restaurants on-site. Servers are responsible for delivering customized service to each guest, ensuring a memorable dining experience by combining menu, bar, and wine knowledge with impeccable service etiquette and sales skills. This role is vital as it directly influences guest satisfaction and the resort’s bottom line through attentive and personalized service. Servers greet guests warmly, take accurate orders, and provide timely delivery of food and beverages, all while adhering to the resort's Four Diamond Service Agreement. They play a vital role in representing the resort’s brand and maintaining the standards expected at Pechanga, engaging guests with professionalism and a genuine desire to meet their dining needs.

Servers at Pechanga must have a keen understanding of the menu and be able to tailor recommendations based on guests' preferences, ensuring that every dining experience is tailored and exceptional. They are expected to approach each table as a unique business transaction, fostering professional relationships with guests by asking targeted questions and providing product pairings that enhance the overall meal. Knowledge of food, beverages, and wines is essential, as is the ability to maintain proper service etiquette throughout the guest’s visit. Servers handle all aspects of the dining service, from setting tables with necessary items to clearing soiled dishes promptly and processing payments accurately following resort procedures.

The role requires multitasking abilities and strong time management skills to efficiently manage multiple tables, ensure prompt service, and uphold the dining experience standards. Effective communication in English is mandatory, and multilingual skills in Cantonese, Chinese, Korean, Mandarin, and Vietnamese are preferred, especially for roles in the Blazing Noodles & New Asian Restaurant, reflecting Pechanga’s diverse clientele. Training and certifications such as a Class “A” gaming license, Food Handlers Certificate, and Tips Certification are required. Servers will undergo service-related training within their first 90 days through the resort’s PLDA (Professional Leadership Development Academy) to reinforce Four Diamond service quality.

This position is a non-supervisory role but carries significant responsibility as it represents the face of Pechanga’s quality customer service. Servers are expected to be personable, knowledgeable about the resort's amenities and dining options, and proactive in creating an unforgettable hospitality experience for every guest. Pechanga Resort and Casino offers an energizing environment where team members are encouraged to grow professionally while contributing to one of the most respected hospitality brands in the region.
