Job Description
Sherwin-Williams is a leading global manufacturer and distributor of paints, coatings, and related products. Established over a century ago, Sherwin-Williams has earned its reputation for quality, innovation, and customer commitment. The company’s purpose is to inspire and improve the world by coloring and protecting what matters, from residential homes to major commercial and industrial projects. Sherwin-Williams operates with a mission to help both customers and employees live healthier, save smarter, and feel better through its expansive range of high-quality paints and coatings, combined with outstanding customer service and support.
As a Customer Service Specialist at Sherwin-Williams, you become a vital part of this mission. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about customer satisfaction and product knowledge, and who thrive in a fast-paced retail environment. Customer Service Specialists work closely with both wholesale and retail customers to assess their needs, provide detailed and accurate information about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend solutions tailored to specific project requirements. They play an integral role in driving sales performance by meeting and exceeding store sales goals while maintaining the company’s renowned standards of visual merchandising and product quality.
This role demands excellent communication skills as it involves interaction with customers from diverse backgrounds, including minors, and handling personal and payment information while managing store merchandise and equipment. Sherwin-Williams prioritizes safety and integrity, requiring a background check to ensure a safe environment for customers and employees alike.
The Customer Service Specialist’s responsibilities go beyond basic sales functions; the role includes duties such as processing sales transactions, maintaining inventory, tinting and mixing paints to customer specifications, and assisting with shipping and deliveries as needed. This ensures that customers receive a seamless shopping experience from start to finish. Keeping up-to-date with product innovations and changes is crucial, allowing specialists to give informed recommendations consistently.
Emphasizing career growth and personal development, Sherwin-Williams supports its employees with a variety of rewards, benefits, and flexible work schedules designed to enhance health and well-being. Employees have opportunities to develop new skills and grow within the company while connecting with inclusive teams committed to making positive contributions to their communities. Sherwin-Williams values diversity and fosters an equal opportunity work environment, welcoming qualified candidates regardless of race, gender, disability status, or veteran status.
If you are looking for a role that combines customer service with product expertise in a well-established, growth-oriented company, the Customer Service Specialist position at Sherwin-Williams is an excellent opportunity. The company offers competitive compensation scaled according to experience, skills, and market conditions, along with comprehensive benefits that support your overall life and career goals. Sherwin-Williams invites you to apply and take the first step toward becoming part of a team that makes a meaningful impact in the world by enhancing spaces with color and protection.
