The role of Customer Service Specialist at Sherwin-Williams Store #7745 in Dallas, TX, is an essential position focused on building strong relationships with both wholesale and retail customers. This role involves working directly with customers to determine their needs, provide expert advice on Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend the best solutions available. Customer Service Specialists ensure that clients receive prompt, accurate assistance and that any concerns are resolved efficiently to maintain the highest levels of satisfaction.

In addition to customer interaction, Customer Service Specialists are responsible for maintaining the store’s standards regarding product quality, presentation, and safety. They support sales initiatives by meeting specific monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals, contributing to the store’s overall success and Sherwin-Williams’ market position. The role also requires handling sales transactions, keeping precise records of work orders and formulas, and managing inventory. The Specialist may also assist in operational tasks such as tinting and mixing paint products to customer specifications, stocking shelves, setting up displays, and supporting delivery efforts.

This position demands a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English
  • Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have received at least a “meets expectations” (3) rating on most recent performance appraisal
  • If internal to Sherwin-Williams, must have completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for current position

Job Qualifications

  • Have at least a high school diploma or GED
  • Have at least one year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
  • Have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
  • Have previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Possess valid, unrestricted driver’s license
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs occasionally
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with customers
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services
  • Build productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers
  • Process sales transactions accurately and consistent with policies and procedures
  • Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
  • Maintain precise work order files and formulas
  • Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse
  • Tint and mix products as needed to customer specifications
  • Stock shelves and set up displays
  • Clean store equipment
  • Load and unload delivery trucks
  • Assist in making deliveries as needed
  • Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas
  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
  • Comply with inventory control procedures
  • Suggest ways to improve sales
