This Beverage Manager role is vital to the continued evolution and enhancement of Oldfield Club’s acclaimed Food and Beverage program amidst ongoing clubhouse renovations. The position commands an annual salary of $60,000, commensurate with experience, and requires availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. The Beverage Manager will oversee beverage operations across the Club's primary venues, including the Rookery Bar, Magnolia Room, and River Club, as well as support banquets, member events, and other beverage outlets. The incumbent will be responsible for elevating the beverage experience, ensuring the integration of beverages into the overall dining and social atmosphere. This role offers an exciting challenge to develop beverage standards, innovate menus, implement training programs, manage beverage inventories, and craft a service culture that champions member satisfaction and hospitality excellence.
The Beverage Manager at Oldfield Club is expected to combine operational leadership and creativity with a genuine passion for hospitality. The role requires a leader who can balance financial management and service quality—overseeing costs, pricing strategies, inventory control, and supplier relationships while simultaneously coaching and developing a high-performing beverage team. This leadership position involves inventing seasonal and signature cocktail programs aligned with current trends, administering comprehensive wine programs including the Wine Club, and organizing engaging beverage events such as tastings and pairings that enrich the member experience.
Succeeding in this role means creating a beverage program that members recognize, enjoy, and trust. The ideal candidate should be passionate about delivering personalized service, capable of discussing wine knowledgeably, developing innovative beverage concepts, and maintaining seamless operational flow behind the scenes. Oldfield Club seeks someone polished, organized, approachable, and relentlessly focused on member satisfaction and team development, who understands that great hospitality is about crafting experiences beyond just serving drinks.
Joining Oldfield Club as the Beverage Manager means becoming part of a distinctive private club dedicated to growth, innovation, and exceptional hospitality. It is an opportunity to shape the beverage culture within a prestigious Lowcountry community and elevate standards in a way that resonates with membership expectations and culinary programs. This role offers unique professional development benefits, including club membership privileges, access to employee dining, and participation in a comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, retirement plans, and bonus eligibility, all designed to support and reward dedicated team members.
