The Beverage Manager role is an exciting opportunity within one of First Hospitality's hotel properties, responsible for overseeing all beverage operations related to the restaurant, bar, banquet and catering services, special events, and hotel beverage activations including Cloud Puncher. This position serves as the hotel property’s beverage expert, tasked with developing innovative beverage programs that delight guests and drive revenue. The Beverage Manager will manage beverage inventory, control costs, train and coach team members, and maintain exceptional guest service standards. This role is integral in ensuring a culture of hospitality, creativity, accountability, and operational excellence, which contributes directly to enhancing the guest experience while maximizing profitability.
This dynamic position requires a proactive leader who can analyze beverage sales data to identify opportunities for growth, craft seasonal cocktail menus and specialty offerings, and partner closely with culinary and banquet teams to deliver seamless beverage experiences. The manager will also build strong relationships with vendors, negotiate pricing and promotions, and ensure compliance with all alcohol regulatory requirements. Ensuring guest satisfaction, responding swiftly to feedback, and enforcing health and safety standards are essential responsibilities. The position involves maintaining beverage recipes, presentation standards, beverage pricing, inventory reporting, and other critical documentation.

Job Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of beverage management experience in a hotel, resort, restaurant, or upscale hospitality environment
- Strong knowledge of wine, spirits, beer, cocktails, mixology, and emerging beverage trends
- Experience managing beverage inventories, purchasing, and cost controls
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
- Ability to analyze financial reports, budgets, and operating metrics
- Knowledge of POS systems and inventory management software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospitality environment while maintaining professionalism
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction and service excellence
- Alcohol service certification and/or sommelier or beverage certifications preferred but not required

Job Duties
- Lead all beverage operations for restaurant, bar, banquet, catering, and special event functions
- Develop and maintain wine, beer, spirits, cocktail, and non-alcoholic beverage programs
- Create seasonal cocktail menus, specialty beverage offerings, and promotional activations
- Analyze beverage sales performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability
- Manage beverage inventory, ordering, receiving, storage, and inventory controls
- Monitor pour costs, waste, variances, and beverage cost performance to achieve financial goals
- Establish and maintain beverage recipes, specifications, and presentation standards
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop bartenders and beverage team members
- Conduct ongoing beverage education, product knowledge, and responsible alcohol service training
- Partner with culinary, restaurant, and banquet leadership to deliver seamless guest experiences
- Maintain a visible leadership presence during peak business periods and special events
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers while negotiating pricing and promotional opportunities
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local alcohol regulations
- Enforce health, safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards
- Review beverage trends and introduce innovative products that align with guest preferences and business goals
- Monitor guest feedback and satisfaction scores and respond promptly to service concerns
- Maintain beverage pricing, menu updates, inventory reports, and operational documentation
- Complete additional duties as assigned by hotel leadership
