The Bar Back position at Boyd Gaming represents a critical role in maintaining the quality and efficiency of bar services within the company's properties, such as Belterra Park. This role focuses on providing comprehensive support to all bar operations by ensuring cleanliness, organization, and adequate stocking of products and supplies. A Bar Back works under general supervision but plays an indispensable role in guest satisfaction and operational excellence. Responsibilities include assisting bartenders with replenishing stock and garnishes, verifying identification for age compliance, taking beverage orders, delivering drinks to guests, maintaining cleanliness of bar areas, and adhering strictly to responsible alcohol service and safety standards. This position demands strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude toward anticipating guest needs. Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- deliver internal and external guest service the Boyd Gaming Way
- exhibit a friendly and approachable demeanor
- be polite and courteous when speaking with guests and team members
- maintain the bar stock and keep supply areas organized
- assist bartender with tasks such as cutting and replenishing fruit trays, stocking liquor, beers, and wines
- check identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase
- take beverage orders from serving staff or patrons
- assist guests with beverage and food selection
- measure all drinks using the Berg system or a jigger
- mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and beverages
- deliver beverage orders to guests promptly
- participate in liquor glassware removal complying with gaming regulations
- collect payment for drink orders accurately via POS
- clean and stock glassware, utensils, and bar equipment
- maintain lounge and bar area cleanliness
- provide responsible alcohol service to limit excessive drinking
- slice and pit fruit for garnishes
- observe health department food handling and cleanliness regulations
- abide by all state, gaming, federal, and corporate liquor regulations
- use and maintain assigned equipment in a sanitary and safe manner
- participate in training programs and maintain knowledge
- pass tests related to job duties
- maintain a neat and clean appearance
- deal effectively with difficult guests
- perform duties according to standard operating procedures
- complete opening, closing, and side duties as assigned
- perform all duties assigned by management
