The Bell Attendant role at The Wren is a vital position dedicated to ensuring guests receive professional, courteous, and attentive service from arrival to departure. This position is focused on facilitating a seamless and welcoming experience by managing luggage with care, escorting guests to their rooms, and delivering requested items promptly. Beyond assisting guests directly, the Bell Attendant plays a crucial part in maintaining lobby organization and cleanliness, contributing to the hotel's overall atmosphere of comfort and efficiency. Working closely with the front office and valet teams, this role demands excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to hospitality excellence. The Bell Attendant is also entrusted with following safety and security protocols to protect guests' belongings.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous customer service or hospitality experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a professional appearance
  • Must be reliable, courteous, and able to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to work in a variety of conditions and temperatures as this role frequently floats between indoors and outdoors

Job Duties

  • Greet guests upon arrival and departure with genuine hospitality
  • Assist with luggage handling, storage, and delivery to guest rooms
  • Provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions
  • Escort guests to rooms and explain features as needed
  • Coordinate with Front Desk and Valet teams for smooth guest arrivals and departures
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and deliver items such as packages or amenities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bell stand, lobby, and storage areas
  • Follow safety and security procedures when handling guest property
