As a bartender/server, you will be the face of the bar, providing personalized recommendations and ensuring each guest feels welcome and valued. You will work closely with kitchen staff and other team members to deliver timely service and contribute to an efficient workflow. Your responsibilities will also include processing transactions accurately using POS systems and monitoring customer behavior to promote responsible alcohol consumption. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in bartending or serving preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Must be legally allowed to serve alcohol
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- Basic math proficiency for handling transactions
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in bartending or similar roles is preferred but not required
- Training may be provided
- Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions and making change accurately
- Familiarity with retail math concepts is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety regulations is highly desirable
- Experience working in nightclubs or high-volume bars is an advantage
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude teamwork mentality and willingness to help others are key attributes for success in this role
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes or customer preferences
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area ensuring all supplies are stocked and readily available
- Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner providing recommendations and answering questions about drink options
- Process transactions accurately using the Point of Sale (POS) system
- Monitor customer behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with legal regulations
- Assist in catering events as needed providing excellent service to guests
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and beverages
- Uphold food safety standards by following proper sanitation practices
