Job Description
Fogo de Chao is a celebrated restaurant renowned for presenting the authentic art of Churrasco, a Brazilian style of barbecue that delights guests with an unparalleled dining experience. Founded on the principles of passion for culinary excellence and warm hospitality, Fogo de Chao emphasizes providing its customers with both a joyful atmosphere and dishes prepared to perfection through traditional cooking methods. The company is dedicated to caring for not only its guests but also its team and local communities, making it a valued workplace within the hospitality industry. With opportunities for personal and professional growth available at all career stages, Fogo de Chao fosters a supportive environment where employees can build fulfilling careers in a fast-paced, guest-focused setting.
The bartender role at Fogo de Chao is central to ensuring that guests enjoy exceptional service from the moment they approach the bar. This position involves engaging customers warmly, understanding their beverage preferences through attentive listening and recommendations, and preparing drinks with skill and accuracy. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including new offerings and daily specials, and will confidently educate patrons about menu items to enhance their experience. Preparing drinks according to established recipes, garnishing beverages appealingly, and serving with precision are essential parts of the role.
In addition to bartending duties, employees must uphold all regulatory standards concerning the responsible service of alcohol, including age verification and adherence to local, state, and federal laws. Inventory management is also a key responsibility, ensuring that the bar remains fully stocked with necessary supplies and ingredients. The bartender will also handle transactions accurately, maintaining a balanced cash register environment that supports smooth service flow. Providing support to coworkers by sharing knowledge about bar terminology, wines, liquors, and mixed drink varieties contributes to a collaborative team atmosphere.
Fogo de Chao offers comprehensive benefits for its team members. Full-time hourly employees become eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days from their start date, with additional company-paid life insurance and short-term disability coverage where applicable. Part-time employees receive minimum essential coverage health plans alongside dental, vision, short-term disability, and life insurance. The company also offers a variety of voluntary benefits such as critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident coverage, permanent life, pet insurance, legal assistance, and ID protection, providing a well-rounded package to support employees’ health and wellbeing. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about mixology and dedicated to offering memorable customer service in a reputable dining establishment.
