Veranda Luxe Cinema, located in Concord, California, is a premier movie theater and dining establishment offering a unique entertainment experience that combines high-quality cinematic presentations with exceptional food and beverage services. Known for its luxurious ambiance, comfortable seating, and top-notch customer service, Veranda Luxe Cinema strives to create a welcoming environment where guests can enjoy the latest movies alongside delicious dining options. As a company, it values its employees by offering perks such as free movies for staff and their families, flexible scheduling, and a dynamic workplace culture that encourages teamwork and customer engagement. The theater operates with a commitment to delivering superior guest satisfaction, emphasizing the importance of a friendly and professional service team to maintain its reputation as a favored entertainment destination in the community.
The role available at Veranda Luxe Cinema is for a Part-Time Bartender, a vital position that blends customer service skills with beverage preparation expertise. This non-exempt position offers a competitive pay rate of $16.90 per hour and reports directly to the General Manager. As a bartender at Veranda Luxe Cinema, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for moviegoers and restaurant patrons alike. The position involves preparing and selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, managing the bar area, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the service stations and restaurant floor. Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently at a fast pace during peak times are critical, as the concession sales can be particularly busy just before movie screenings.
This role requires someone who is not only customer-friendly but also proactive and capable of multitasking in a lively environment. Responsibilities include mixing cocktails, restocking bar supplies, handling cash transactions accurately, and adhering to state liquor laws and company policies regarding alcohol service. The bartender must also be vigilant in identifying and managing safety or security concerns within the theater and must verify age requirements for alcohol purchases to ensure compliance with legal standards. Additionally, the job demands physical stamina, as it involves standing for extended periods and performing various physical activities such as walking, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and being ready to assist guests promptly.
Ideal candidates will have at least a high school diploma or GED, with previous experience in retail, restaurant, or customer service environments preferred. The employer emphasizes the importance of excellent communication skills, both verbal and interpersonal, as well as strong math capabilities for accurate cash handling. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and complete mandatory Safe Beverage Service and Food Handlers training programs before assuming the role. The working hours include evenings, weekends, and holidays, highlighting the need for reliable attendance and flexibility. Veranda Luxe Cinema embraces inclusivity and equal employment opportunities, ensuring a diverse and respectful workplace for all employees. This part-time bartender position offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to join an exciting, customer-focused entertainment venue that values its team and offers the benefit of enjoyable perks and flexible schedules.
