Job Description
Sunriver Resort is a premier destination located in the Pacific Northwest, known for its AAA Four Diamond standards in hospitality and guest services. The resort offers a diverse range of amenities including luxury accommodations, dining, recreational activities, and aquatic facilities. Among these amenities, The Cove Aquatic Center's The Spotted Frog stands out as a vibrant and popular spot for guests to relax and enjoy an exceptional bar experience. The Spotted Frog features a full-service bar offering an impressive selection of refreshing frozen beverages, alongside local Pacific Northwest beer and wine. Guests at Sunriver Resort can enjoy their snacks and meals in various settings—whether at the lively bar, in the cozy café, or poolside—making it a versatile and inviting destination for both families and individuals.
The Bartender role at The Spotted Frog is integral to the guest experience, combining skilled beverage preparation with attentive, friendly service. This position requires a deep commitment to maintaining the high standards of Sunriver Resort, particularly its AAA Four Diamond quality, and an unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction. Bartenders are responsible for mixing and serving drinks, including cocktails made according to established recipes, while strictly adhering to legal regulations concerning alcohol service. They must ensure every guest is checked for proper identification to verify age requirements for alcohol consumption. Attention to cleanliness and organization is paramount, as bartenders maintain the cleanliness of the bar area, glassware, walk-in and reach-in coolers, and beverage supplies.
In addition to beverage service, bartenders are responsible for managing orders through the resort's POS system, balancing cash drawers, and completing sidework duties such as stocking and prepping the bar for service. They also play a vital role in promoting the resort culture, exemplifying the core values of trust, open and honest communication, and commitment. Bartenders at Sunriver Resort are expected to provide warm and sincere welcomes and farewells, engaging guests personally by using their names and making good eye contact. This role also involves offering menu advice, suggesting the latest beverage trends, resolving guest concerns thoughtfully and efficiently, and keeping up to date on resort amenities and special events.
Working at The Spotted Frog means being part of a team that values collaboration, professionalism, and exceptional guest experiences. The position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment, are passionate about hospitality, and eager to contribute to the resort’s reputation as both a premier destination and a top employer. This bartender role is a fantastic opportunity for those with bartending, food and beverage, and customer service experience, looking to grow their careers in a scenic resort setting. The role typically requires availability for poolside service and engagement with a diverse guest demographic, requiring flexibility and excellent interpersonal skills.
