Job Requirements
- Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages
- Must communicate and understand the predominant language in the restaurant area
- Able to stand or walk for most of the shift
- Able to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds
- Able to reach, bend, stoop, wipe as needed
- Must be willing to work varied hours including weekends
- Must adhere to uniform and appearance guidelines
- Must refrain from smoking during shifts
- Must arrive on time and ready to work
- Must follow all policies in the Employee Handbook
- May not work under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Must pass drug and alcohol test within 90 days of hire
Job Qualifications
- Meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages
- At least 1 year of related bartending experience
- Experience in high-volume or fast casual dining preferred
- Knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits including preparation and presentation
- Ability to interact with customers and coworkers in a friendly and outgoing manner
- Strong communication skills including reading and comprehending instructions
- Cash handling and customer service experience preferred
- Ability to work 50 to 60 hours per week
- Stamina for physically demanding work
Job Duties
- Greet customers and take food and/or beverage orders
- Provide information about products and promote featured items
- Follow recipes and product directions for mixing beverages
- Collect payments and operate cash registers following company cash handling policies
- Secure monies at end of each shift
- Follow alcohol awareness procedures and manage intoxicated guests
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and well-stocked bar
- Adhere to all company safety and sanitation policies
- Accept direction and constructive criticism from management
- Work varied hours including weekends and extended shifts
- Maintain a positive and pleasant attitude every shift
- Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, reaching, bending, and stooping
- Willingness to perform other duties as assigned
