The role being described is a Bartender position within Live Nation's vibrant concert environment. This role is fundamental in delivering an exceptional guest experience by interacting with patrons in a friendly and engaging manner while efficiently executing bar operations. Responsibilities include cultivating relationships with regular guests, suggestively selling beverages and menu items, ensuring beverage preparation meets exacting standards, and maintaining safety and sanitation standards in the bar area. The Bartender must be adept at prioritizing and organizing drink orders, handling cash and point-of-sale transactions, and managing inventory tasks like maintaining a bartender bank and performing cash pulls. Critical to the position is the enforcement of responsible alcohol service practices, including verifying guest identification, recognizing intoxication, and adhering to local laws and internal policies to maintain a safe environment.

This job requires physical stamina, the ability to work late and flexible hours, and excellent interpersonal skills to handle high-volume, fast-paced settings typically accompanied by a lively and loud atmosphere. Previous experience in a high-volume bar or live music environment is preferred, as is familiarity with state or county alcohol certification. Job Requirements

  • State or county licensee or certification requirement
  • Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent
  • Ability to work late hours

  • Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
  • Skill in interpersonal communication and teamwork
  • Physically able to pass a pour test and a mixology drill (timed)
  • Ability to deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safety minded manner
  • Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms

  • 4 years work experience in high volume environment

Job Duties

  • Interact with guests in a natural, friendly demeanor
  • Cultivate regular guests and repeat business
  • Successfully complete a pour test prior to every shift, where applicable
  • Suggestively sell both beverages and menu items to guests at the bar
  • Deliver food items and beverage orders promptly
  • Prioritize and organize drink orders
  • Consistently prepare beverages according to standard recipes and venue specifications, abide by all control systems
  • Record any equipment failure and/or safety hazards in bar log
  • Recognize when guests are becoming too intoxicated and refuse further service of alcohol in a courteous and safety-minded manner, bringing it to the attention of a manager
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance alcohol awareness training and HOB alcohol policies
  • Request proper identification for anyone appearing under 30 years of age
  • Maintain HOB safety and sanitation standards
  • Perform Opening/Running/Closing duties according to HOB policy
  • Prepare guest checks (on point of sales terminal) and process payment according to HOB policy
  • Maintain bartender bank
  • Perform cash pull / check out procedures
  • Maintain appropriate Comp and Spill checks
  • Required to occasionally work Special Events that are scheduled throughout the venue
