Bartenders are also responsible for monitoring guests' alcohol consumption to promote responsible service and comply with legal requirements. Additional responsibilities include handling bar inventory, balancing cash drawers, performing tip declaration, and supporting servers with food and drink orders as needed. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- At least one year of experience working as a barista, bartender, and/or in food preparation
- Ability and desire to obey all local, state, and federal laws
- Ability to handle cash register tasks
- Willingness to learn and be a team player
- Ability to memorize menu items
- Able to stand, walk, bend, climb, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Perform tasks under general supervision using established procedures
- Able to exercise occasional independent judgment to resolve problems
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Support a strong commitment to world class guest service and ensure a pleasant dining experience for restaurant patrons
- Function as the location's expert on bar systems, recipes, procedures, and knowledge of liquor, wine, and beer served
- Complete all training requirements
- Greet bar guests promptly
- Use suggestive selling techniques
- Record beverage orders, enter orders into the computer system, prepare drinks according to established guidelines, and deliver drinks to guests
- Monitor guests' drinks to anticipate re-order requests
- Collect monies owed and perform guest check accountability procedures
- Maintain a balanced bar drawer and perform tip declaration activities
- Prepare and complete orders for servers
- Wash bar service ware
- set up, clean, stock, and maintain bar area and bar cooler
- Perform server responsibilities as needed, including handling 'To Go' and associate food orders
- Perform inventory activities as scheduled
- Understand and execute procedures for verifying guests' legal ability to purchase and consume alcohol and prevent over-indulgence
- Perform all other duties as assigned
