We are currently seeking enthusiastic, creative, and driven Bartenders to join the Hops & Hens team. In this role, you will be the face of our bar, responsible for delivering friendly and attentive customer service while crafting perfectly mixed drinks. You will maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety at the bar and ensure adherence to all state liquor laws. This position plays an essential role in shaping the guest experience by contributing to a welcoming and energetic environment. Bartenders at Hops & Hens must be knowledgeable about various liquors, beers, and wines and skilled in upselling menu items to maximize sales. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about mixology, guest engagement, and working in a fast-paced hospitality setting. Employment is full-time, with the flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Bartenders must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and handle physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds regularly. Certification requirements include obtaining a valid Texas TABC and Food Handler certification upon hire if not already certified. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bartending or relevant hospitality experience preferred
- Valid Texas TABC certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Food Handler certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Basic computer and POS system knowledge
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift
- Must be able to communicate effectively by telephone and in person
- Must have basic computer/MICROS knowledge
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
- Previous cash handling experience is required
- Must be able to attain a valid Texas TABC & Food Handler certification upon hire if not already certified
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment providing courteous service and engaging the guests in conversation
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Serve properly mixed and proportioned drinks in a timely manner to guests and servers
- Have excellent working knowledge of liquors, beers and wines
- Upsell and suggestive sell of both food and beverage to guests
- Requisition and restock bar with all essential products and equipment
- Observe and adhere to all liquor liability laws
- Check identification of guests ensuring alcohol is served only to those patrons of legal drinking age
- Monitor the intake of alcohol of guests, prohibiting sale of alcohol to those who are intoxicated
- Communicate with guests and respond to feedback in a positive manner, resolving any service issues
