HEI Hotels and Resorts is a renowned hospitality company dedicated to acquiring and managing a diverse portfolio of distinctive hotels and resort properties across the United States. One of its distinguished properties is the JW Marriott Anaheim, a prestigious AAA Four Diamond resort located less than a mile from the iconic Disneyland and the Anaheim Convention Center. This prime location makes the hotel a favored destination for travelers seeking luxury accommodation conveniently close to popular attractions. At HEI Hotels and Resorts, the driving force behind the company's outstanding success is its people. The company firmly believes that while choosing where to work is a personal decision, it is their responsibility to ensure that their associates receive competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and access to industry-leading tools, training, and support. This approach ensures that employees are empowered to excel in their roles, making them more valuable and enhancing overall job satisfaction. HEI is deeply committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, encouraging candidates from all backgrounds to apply, even if they do not meet every single qualification listed in job descriptions. This open-minded approach allows the company to welcome a wide range of talent and perspectives, supporting their continued growth and innovation. The company also values the experience of U.S. military veterans and actively invites qualified military candidates to join their team. The property itself offers an engaging and vibrant atmosphere, reflecting the lively energy of the nearby attractions while maintaining a high standard of excellence in guest services and amenities. The work culture at HEI Hotels and Resorts is built on respect, opportunity, and recognition, striving to create an environment where every team member feels valued and empowered to contribute to the success of the hotel and the satisfaction of its guests.
The position available at the JW Marriott Anaheim is that of a Bar Server, an essential role within the food and beverage team tasked with ensuring guests have an enjoyable and memorable experience during their visit. Bar Servers are responsible for maintaining an organized and well-stocked bar, greeting guests warmly, and expertly preparing a wide variety of drinks according to established recipes and portions to uphold product quality and consistency. They must also adhere to all relevant state, federal, and corporate regulations related to the service of alcoholic beverages, ensuring guest safety and compliance. This role involves operating the point of sale system accurately to process orders, manage cash transactions, and ensure accountability for all beverages served. Additionally, Bar Servers are expected to maintain cleanliness and secure all bar items and cash deposits appropriately at the end of their shifts. The position requires excellent communication skills, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in often fast-paced environments while standing for extended periods. The ability to engage with guests in a friendly and courteous manner is fundamental to delivering exceptional customer service, which is a hallmark of HEI Hotels and Resorts. Compensation for this role is competitive, with an hourly wage of $21.13 and eligibility for tips and service charges. While there is no discretionary performance bonus, the company offers an extensive benefits package designed to support employees' physical, mental, and financial wellness. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off for vacation, sick and holiday leave, pet insurance, life insurance options, disability coverage, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, and employee discounts. HEI’s commitment to its employees extends beyond basic job functions, focusing on creating a supportive and enriching work environment that promotes career development and personal well-being. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about hospitality who seek a stable career with a company that values and invests in its workforce.
