Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months or more bartending experience
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
- Ability to handle cash accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Availability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of state and federal alcohol service laws
- Ability to manage difficult or intoxicated guests professionally
Job Qualifications
- Six months or more experience bartending
- Accurate cash handling skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and long hours
- Bartending school preferred
Job Duties
- Meet the company standard for excellence in guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards
- Follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
- Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures including state and federal regulations
- Learn or have knowledge of various beer, wine varieties, and spirits available and suggestively upsell products to guests
- Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size
- Check guest identification to verify minimum age requirement for alcohol purchase
- Communicate cut-offs to guests as required
- Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
- De-escalate intoxicated guest situations
- Contact management or security if a guest becomes confrontational or belligerent
- Request additional or restock product as required
- Handle cash accurately and manage the issued bank at the bar
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained
- Assist with bar setup and breakdown and cooler organization as assigned
