The Bartender role at OVG is crucial in delivering outstanding beverage service, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, within a fast-paced, ever-changing entertainment environment. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Six months or more bartending experience
Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
Ability to handle cash accurately
Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
Availability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Strong customer service skills
Knowledge of state and federal alcohol service laws
Ability to manage difficult or intoxicated guests professionally

Job Qualifications

Six months or more experience bartending
Accurate cash handling skills
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to be self-directed while working in a team-oriented environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and long hours
Bartending school preferred

Job Duties

Meet the company standard for excellence in guest service, interaction with co-workers, and uniform standards
Follow the bar pre-shift notes and bar menus and provide service as described
Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures including state and federal regulations
Learn or have knowledge of various beer, wine varieties, and spirits available and suggestively upsell products to guests
Pour drinks responsibly in accordance with company standards for serving size
Check guest identification to verify minimum age requirement for alcohol purchase
Communicate cut-offs to guests as required
Listen and respond to customer requests or concerns
De-escalate intoxicated guest situations
Contact management or security if a guest becomes confrontational or belligerent
Request additional or restock product as required
Handle cash accurately and manage the issued bank at the bar
Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and ensure bar equipment is clean and well maintained
Assist with bar setup and breakdown and cooler organization as assigned
