We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Bartender Mixologist to join our esteemed team at Castaway and The Green Room. This full-time role offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $20 to $23 plus tips and the rare opportunity to work alongside world-renowned mixologists and industry professionals. Job Requirements
- Proven experience as a skilled mixologist or bartender, preferably in a renowned cocktail bar or upscale establishment
- Deep knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, bitters, and other ingredients used in mixology
- Demonstrated ability to craft unique and balanced cocktails that leave a lasting impression
- Excellent customer service and communication skills to engage and interact with guests
- Strong multitasking abilities and the capability to handle a high-paced environment
- Creativity and a passion for pushing the boundaries of mixology
- Understanding of responsible alcohol service and compliance with local laws and regulations
- A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate
- Formal bar/mixology training
- 2 years' similar experience
- Proven experience as a skilled mixologist or bartender
- Deep knowledge of spirits, liqueurs, bitters, and other ingredients used in mixology
- Demonstrated ability to craft unique and balanced cocktails
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong multitasking abilities
- Creativity and a passion for mixology
- Understanding of responsible alcohol service and compliance with local laws
Job Duties
- Possess a wide range of drink recipes and be able to mix drinks accurately, quickly, and without waste
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other beverages
- Serve drinks and food to bar guests
- Observe guests to respond to their needs and ensure total guest satisfaction by serving all items in a friendly and timely manner
- Follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication of guests and handling an intoxicated guest
- Participate in and pass alcohol awareness and safety training classes
- Stock and prepare garnishes for drinks
- Maintain an adequate supply of ice, glasses, and other bar supplies
- Responsible for ordering and maintaining an inventory of liquor, mixes, and other bar supplies
- Collect payment and operate P.O.S. computer quickly and efficiently
- Balance and secure all moneys at the end of shift
- Must be dressed neatly and well-groomed in clean, Company approved uniform at all times
- Must be able to operate P.O.S. computer, make change correctly, and make credit card transactions
- Strength demands: Medium work. Includes exerting approx. 30 lbs several times per shift
- Must be able to effectively card all guests who appear under the age of 30 for alcohol purchases
- Adherence to Company alcoholic beverage policies
- Adherence to all Company and Safety Policies and Procedures
- Must wear approved manufacturer certified slip resistant or non-slip shoes at all times while working
