The Music Hall Bartender role at Live Nation is a part-time position offering a flexible schedule primarily covering nights and weekends. Compensation includes an hourly wage plus tips. This position calls for a self-motivated, entrepreneurial individual with a passion for music and customer service. The bartender will operate in a dynamic, high-volume, and fast-paced music hall environment, serving both food and beverage to guests. Key responsibilities include maintaining atmosphere control by circulating through the work area, adhering to safety, health, and sanitation standards, supporting fellow staff members, following opening and closing procedures, and providing outstanding guest interaction with a friendly and natural demeanor. The bartender must be adept at suggestive selling, promptly taking and delivering orders, preparing drinks according to standard recipes, and ensuring responsible alcohol service aligned with local laws and company policies.

Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Maintain line of sight and atmosphere control by circulating through work area during shift
- Follow House of Blues safety, health, and sanitation standards
- Assist other employees as needed
- Follow opening and closing procedures, checking out with manager on duty
- Adhere to all House of Blues policies and procedures
- Interact with guests in a natural, friendly demeanor
- Suggestively sell menu items to guests
- Take and deliver food and beverage orders promptly
- Prioritize and organize drink orders
- Consistently prepare beverages according to standard recipes and venue specifications, use liquid measuring tools for consistency
- Record any equipment failure or safety hazards in bar log
- Recognize when guests are too intoxicated and refuse further service courteously, reporting to a manager
- Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance and policies
- Request proper ID for anyone appearing under 30
- Prepare guest checks on point of sales terminal and process payment
- Maintain bartender bank
- Perform cash pull and check out procedures
