Job Description
The hiring establishment is a hospitality venue that prides itself on delivering exceptional guest experiences through quality service and a welcoming atmosphere. This establishment operates in the food and beverage industry, focusing on providing a high standard of family-style service with a strong emphasis on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) culture. Guests are treated to a warm and friendly environment where their needs are met promptly and respectfully by professional and attentive staff. The venue ensures all team members uphold the mission and vision of the company, fostering a collaborative and guest-centered workplace.
The role available is for a Bartender position, an essential part of the team responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests and servers, including food servers and cocktail waitresses. This position requires a proactive approach to customer service, excellent communication skills, and strong observational ability to maintain a fun, safe, and enjoyable environment for all patrons. Bartenders greet guests cheerfully, take drink orders, prepare beverages following standard recipes and appropriate glassware, and ensure timely service. Additional duties include maintaining cleanliness and organization of the bar area, directing beverage attendants, accurately processing drink orders through the register, and handling cash or credit card transactions correctly.
Alcohol service responsibility is a critical aspect of this role, ensuring compliance with all local laws, including verifying that guests are 21 years or older before serving alcoholic beverages and monitoring guest intoxication levels to prevent over-serving. Bartenders also provide information to guests about the property’s offerings and ongoing events, enhancing the overall guest experience. Candidates must possess basic math skills, excellent hand-to-eye coordination, and the ability to operate point-of-sale (POS) systems effectively. This role demands physical stamina, including walking, standing for long periods, bending, reaching, and handling items up to 40 pounds while engaging with guests in a professional and pleasant manner.
Successful applicants will have at least a high school diploma or equivalent and meet the minimum legal age requirement of 21 to serve alcohol. The position necessitates flexible scheduling, including availability for days, nights, weekends, holidays, and potential overtime to meet the establishment’s operational needs. The employer is committed to equal opportunity employment and maintaining a workplace culture that honors diversity, equity, and inclusion. This position offers an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals who aspire to grow in the hospitality industry while delivering extraordinary guest service standards and contributing to a dynamic team environment.
