As a bar team member at PENN Entertainment, you will be an integral part of the guest experience in a fast-paced nightlife atmosphere. The bar team member position also requires compliance with all state regulations regarding responsible alcohol service, including age verification and monitoring of alcohol consumption. You will operate point-of-sale systems efficiently, maintain accurate cash handling, and promote casino events and programs to guests. Job Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age
High school diploma or equivalent
Must successfully complete ServSafe Alcohol training certification course
Read, write legibly, understand and speak English
Excellent customer service/communication skills
Count money and change correctly
Knows cocktail ingredients and proper mixing and pouring techniques
Available to work required schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime
Must meet professional appearance standards as prescribed by company policy
Must be physically mobile with reasonable accommodation
Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
Able to work in constricting areas
Able to tolerate second-hand smoke, noise, bright lights
Able to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs and perform various physical movements in confined spaces

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous bar experience preferred
Must successfully complete ServSafe Alcohol training certification
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to count money and change correctly
Knowledge of cocktail ingredients and proper mixing and pouring techniques
Ability to work well with others in a team
Ability to maintain professional appearance standards

Job Duties

Complete all the required duties upon the opening and closing of the bar
Provide courteous service of frozen daiquiris and beverages including offering samples and suggestive selling
Stock and maintain the bar area in a clean and orderly fashion
Clean, sanitize and lubricate daiquiri freezers according to schedule
Greet guests in a friendly and upbeat manner
Take drink orders and serve promptly while checking I.D.'s and following responsible serving guidelines
Make drinks accurately according to recipe including daiquiri batch production
Slice and pit fruit as required
Prepare and deliver guest food orders as needed
Monitor guest alcohol consumption and intervene as needed
Act as ambassador of goodwill and participate in customer/public relations functions
Promote casino events and programs
Use guest names and provide personalized service
Resolve service problems according to guidelines
Operate and maintain equipment and utensils safely
Operate cash register/POS system ensuring accurate transactions and cash handling
Work cooperatively with beverage servers, bartenders, barbacks, and supervisors
Maintain clean and stocked workstation and guest areas
Perform any other duties assigned by supervisors or management
