Job Description

Commander’s Palace is a historic and iconic New Orleans restaurant that has been a landmark since 1893. Located in the beautiful Garden District, it is renowned for blending bold culinary creativity with exceptional hospitality and the unique charm of Louisiana culture. Over the decades, Commander’s Palace has become synonymous with innovation in Southern cuisine, delightful traditions like the legendary original Jazz Brunch, and unique dining experiences such as the 25-cent Martini Lunch. This establishment is not just a restaurant but a cultural experience that transports guests into the heart of New Orleans hospitality. It is a place where tradition meets a constantly evolving menu and where every visit is designed to create memorable moments steeped in Southern warmth and friendliness.

Currently, Commander’s Palace is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Bartenders to join their team. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals who are looking to work in a flexible environment that fosters professional growth and personal development. Bartenders at Commander’s Palace play a critical role in providing outstanding guest service by crafting exceptional beverages, engaging with customers in a warm and inviting manner, and contributing to the lively and authentic New Orleans dining atmosphere. The starting wage for bartenders is $11 per hour plus tips, with a training wage of $15 per hour during the onboarding period, offering a competitive compensation package for those entering the hospitality industry or looking to advance their careers.

In addition to a supportive work environment, Commander’s Palace offers a wealth of benefits designed to enhance the wellbeing and growth of its employees. Mental health resources are freely available, demonstrating the company’s commitment to employee wellness. The Aqua Blue U training classes, an internal training and development program, provide valuable career pathways designed to help employees grow within the company. Health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage are available alongside employee assistance programs. Financial security is also a priority with a 401K plan featuring a company match to help employees save for retirement. Other perks include paid vacation and sick time, employee meals, employee discounts, and important holidays off such as Mardi Gras Day and Christmas Day. The company culture at Commander’s Palace is one of mentorship, warmth, and continuous growth, inviting applicants who are passionate about hospitality and eager to contribute to a positive work environment.

Applicants interested in this position are welcome to apply in person, dressed in business attire, Monday through Friday between 2 pm and 4 pm, or can submit resumes via email.
