Job Description
Starwood Hotels is a prestigious luxury hotel brand management company founded in 2006 by Barry Sternlicht. It operates as an affiliate of the global private investment firm Starwood Capital Group, dedicated to delivering exceptional experiences to guests while fostering a sustainable, diverse, and inclusive culture for its team members. Known for its commitment to top-tier service, environmental respect, and community connection, Starwood Hotels offers a workplace that values collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning. The company’s mission-driven ethos ensures that each team member contributes to the well-being of the planet and the joy of its guests, making it a truly inspiring place to work.
The Bartender role at Starwood Hotels presents an exciting opportunity to join a team that champions both innovation and tradition in hospitality. This position is part of a unique collaboration with Chef Johnny Curiel and Kasie Curiel, the visionary co-founders behind Fonda Fina Hospitality and the Michelin-starred Alma Fonda Fina in Denver, Colorado. Starwood Hotels’ recente recognition on Condé Nast Traveler’s "Best New Restaurants in the World: 2026 Hot List" highlights the high caliber of culinary and beverage experiences offered.
As a Bartender, your primary responsibility will be crafting both classic and inventive alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, delivering stellar customer service, and enhancing the overall guest experience. The role demands creativity, extensive knowledge of mixology, and a passion for customer engagement. You will be expected to master the full food and drink menu, offer personalized recommendations, and maintain a welcoming, engaging demeanor with every guest.
Attention to detail is crucial, as you must ensure drink orders are prepared with precision, comply with safety and sanitation standards, and conform to company policies. Maintaining a clean and organized bar environment is essential for smooth operations and guest safety. You will also be entrusted with responsible inventory management practices such as labeling, rotating, and discarding perishable items to uphold quality control.
The position requires adherence to company dress codes, attendance policies, and all relevant federal and state liquor regulations. You will actively participate in training sessions and departmental meetings to stay current with industry trends, safety protocols, and company standards. The ability to handle cash and payment procedures carefully, uphold confidentiality, and embody Starwood Hotels’ Vision, Mission, and Brand Pillars is fundamental.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about food and beverage, enjoys working in a dynamic environment, and thrives in a team-oriented culture. A minimum of one year of bartending or similar experience is preferred, along with strong communication skills, multitasking abilities, and physical stamina. Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required due to the nature of the hospitality business.
Starwood Hotels values diversity and inclusivity, providing equal employment opportunities to all qualified individuals. The company is committed to accommodating individuals with disabilities and encourages those needing special accommodations to connect with People Operations. This Bartender position offers the chance to grow within a mission-driven luxury hotel company, contributing meaningfully to memorable guest experiences while advancing your career in hospitality.
