Job Description

Snowbird is a renowned resort located in the heart of the Wasatch Mountain Range in Salt Lake City, Utah. Known for its breathtaking views and challenging terrain, Snowbird is a premier destination for outdoor enthusiasts and mountain lovers. The resort embraces the spirit of adventure and dedication, and it is committed to maintaining a workforce that shares this passion for the mountains and outdoor lifestyle. Snowbird offers a unique working environment with distinct summer and winter seasons, providing opportunities for full-time, part-time, and seasonal employment to accommodate various lifestyles and preferences. The resort prides itself on its dynamic atmosphere and commitment to excellence, making it a leading employer in the hospitality industry within the region.

The role of a Bartender at Snowbird, specifically based at The Aerie within the Cliff Lodge, offers a chance to be part of this exciting environment. The position involves working primarily during PM shifts, including late evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the resort's commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences around the clock. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service and consistently preparing drinks that exceed guests' expectations. The role requires not only technical skills related to making and serving alcoholic beverages but also interpersonal skills to greet guests warmly, inform them about specials, and employ suggestive selling techniques to enhance the overall guest experience and increase revenue. This position demands adherence to all company rules and state alcohol laws, with an emphasis on maintaining safety and sanitation standards. Handling financial transactions accurately and managing the cleanliness and readiness of the bar station are also key parts of the job. The working conditions at Snowbird reflect the unique mountain resort environment; employees should be prepared to handle occasional overnight stays due to weather conditions and high business volume stress. The job also requires physical stamina and dexterity, including the ability to stand for long periods, lift over 25 pounds, carry trays, and perform repetitive motions safely and efficiently.

Working at Snowbird comes with numerous benefits designed to support and reward employees. Staff enjoy ski pass and complimentary ticket benefits, discounts across various resort amenities such as eateries, retail shops, mountain school, lodging, and daycare. There are opportunities to enroll in medical, dental, vision, and accident insurance plans, depending on position eligibility, and a 401k plan to support financial planning for the future. Additionally, employees benefit from discounts with Powdr partners and have access to free transportation options, including UTA Bus and Rideshare Vans, Canyon Transportation vans, and Employee Blue Shuttles, facilitating convenient and eco-friendly commutes. Snowbird fosters an inclusive and diverse workplace where equal opportunity employment is a priority, and where diversity of thought, background, race, sexual orientation, gender, and belief is embraced. The resort welcomes those passionate about the outdoors to apply and become part of a supportive and rewarding team committed to excellence and guest satisfaction.
