The Bartending Staff role at Northgate Resorts is a dynamic and engaging position responsible for delivering excellent service to guests through beverage preparation, customer interaction, and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment. This seasonal position offers the flexibility of full-time or part-time employment and reports directly to the Food Service Manager. The role is integral to enhancing the overall guest experience by greeting customers warmly, understanding their preferences, answering inquiries, offering menu recommendations, and preparing and serving drinks and select food items with precision and care. Bartenders at Northgate Resorts must uphold quality and food safety standards while effectively managing transactions and maintaining a polished, customer-focused attitude.

This position requires an individual with strong interpersonal skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities extend beyond bartending duties to include inventory management, stocking, cleaning, and collaborating on promotional specials with management. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year bartending experience
  • TIPS training certification
  • State required bartending certification
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
  • Ability to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Accurately complete cash, credit card and gift card transactions using point of sale system
  • Upsell to guests by suggesting menu items to accompany beverage selections
  • Prepare beverages consistent with quality and food safety standards
  • Maintain sanitation of the preparation and service areas
  • Stock condiments, napkins, straws, etc. for guest use
  • Clean tables and chairs, sweep/mop floors and empty trash in the bar/dining area
  • Check customer’s identification to ensure they are of legal drinking age
