The role of Bartender at HMSHost is a dynamic and vital position, responsible for delivering top-notch beverage service to customers in a fast-paced environment. This non-exempt position typically reports to the Store Manager or General Manager and plays a crucial role in maintaining the quality and reputation of HMSHost’s food and beverage operations. Bartenders at HMSHost are tasked with greeting customers warmly, taking food and drink orders, and skillfully mixing beverages that include cocktails, beer, wine, and other drinks in compliance with standardized recipes and company policies. They also handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring accuracy and following established cash handling procedures throughout their shifts.

In addition to preparing and serving drinks, bartenders must ensure a clean, sanitized, and well-stocked bar area, contributing to an inviting atmosphere for all guests. The position requires attentiveness to customer needs while also adhering to alcohol awareness guidelines to prevent intoxication and manage situations involving intoxicated guests professionally. Bartenders collaborate closely with the entire service team to communicate effectively about order statuses and any potential issues. Compensation for this role ranges from $16.00 to $18.13 per hour, reflecting the company’s competitive approach to employee wages.
