The Bartending Staff (age 21+) position at Northgate Resorts is a seasonal role that can be either full-time or part-time. This role reports directly to the Food Service Manager and is central to ensuring the bar and dining areas provide a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere with excellent service. Bartenders are tasked with greeting guests, understanding their beverage and food preferences, offering recommendations, and preparing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while adhering to stringent quality and food safety standards. This role requires key skills in customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate is responsible for accurately completing transactions through the point of sale system, upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the service area, and ensuring legal compliance regarding the sale of alcohol. Additional duties include inventory management, assisting with monthly ordering, and collaborating with management on specials or promotional offerings. Job Requirements

- 1+ year experience bartending
- TIPS training required
- State required certification

Job Duties
- Accurately complete cash, credit card and gift card transactions using point of sale system
- Upsell to guests by suggesting menu items to accompany beverage selections
- Prepare beverages consistent with quality and food safety standards
- Maintain sanitation of the preparation and service areas
- Stock condiments, napkins, straws, etc. for guest use
- Clean tables and chairs, sweep/mop floors and empty trash in the bar/dining area
- Check customer's identification to ensure they are of legal drinking age
- Mix all drinks based on the standard serving sizes, keeping drink costs at a minimum
- Transfer products between locations
- Receive and inventory shipments from vendors
- Assist with monthly inventory and ordering
- Participate in other projects and activities as assigned
- Collaborate with management on specials
