The Bartender position at Life Time plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall member experience by expertly preparing and serving a variety of beverages in compliance with alcohol serving laws. This role involves not only crafting cocktails and other drinks but also maintaining a clean and organized bar area to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met. The Bartender interacts with members and guests, handling payments, checking identification, and responding to inquiries professionally and courteously. The position demands attention to detail in following recipes and drink preparation standards as well as the ability to manage inventory by restocking supplies and ensuring the bar area is always well equipped.

This is an hourly position offering competitive wages starting at $18.00 per hour and up to $21.25 per hour based on experience and qualifications. Life Time values employee safety and requires CPR/AED certification within the first 30 days of hire. The role also requires physical stamina to lift more than 20 pounds regularly and the ability to remain on foot and mobile within the cafe area for extended periods. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 to 2 years of bartending experience
  • Certified to serve alcohol
  • CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
  • Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift more than 20 lbs
  • Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the Cafe for prolonged periods of time

Job Qualifications

  • Experience with inventory and ordering preferred

Job Duties

  • Follows recipes in order to appropriately prepare cocktails and other drinks including adding garnish
  • Serves members and customers in a timely fashion including checking identification accepting payment and answering any questions that may arise
  • Maintains cleanliness by cleaning bar surface furniture and equipment and returning used dishware to the bar or kitchen
  • Maintains supplies by re-stocking liquors wines beer and non-alcoholic ingredients and replacing beer barrels
  • Reconciles the bar's cash register at the end of the shift
