Fogo de Chao is currently looking for a Bartender to join their team immediately. This is a fixed-rate position with a pay of $21.30 per hour plus eligibility to earn tips, making it an attractive opportunity for those passionate about hospitality and customer service. The bartender role is vital in ensuring outstanding guest experiences by mastering the art and science of beverage service. The bartender will warmly welcome guests, understand their drink preferences, and offer personalized recommendations. They will also showcase knowledge of the menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, ensuring that every customer query is met with confidence and enthusiasm.

The responsibilities extend to mixing and serving beverages according to Fogo de Chao’s recipes and guidelines, while complying with all local, state, and federal liquor and food safety regulations. Maintaining a well-stocked bar and managing inventory is also a critical component of the role, supporting smooth and efficient operations. The bartender must demonstrate excellent multitasking abilities, handling multiple tables and customer requests quickly and accurately while ensuring a clean and welcoming environment. Additionally, cash and payment processing duties are part of the job, requiring accuracy and attention to detail.

This role demands physical endurance and mental acuity, as bartenders often stand for prolonged periods and may need to lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds. Those employed in this position are expected to manage high-stress situations with calm and professionalism, ensuring all guests receive respectful and responsible service. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol
  • Previous experience in bartending or hospitality preferred
  • Must comply with all local, state, and federal liquor laws
  • Ability to stand for prolonged hours
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to handle high-pressure and stressful situations calmly
  • Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking orders
  • Informing customers about new beverages and specials
  • Be knowledgeable of all menu items, their contents and preparation methods in order to accurately respond to customer questions, make menu recommendations and upsell where appropriate
  • Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers
  • Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol
  • Provide responsible service of alcoholic beverages, complying with all local, state, and federal liquor laws and food safety regulations
  • Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked
  • Prepare and serve menu items according to Fogo de Chao recipes and guidelines, using proper equipment and ingredients
  • Handle multiple tables and tasks in an efficient manner, clean and clear tables
  • Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register
  • Educate self and assist co-workers in understanding basic bar vocabulary, i.e., wine and liquor varieties, types of mixed drinks, etc.
  • Perform all reasonable tasks assigned by management
