The opportunity at hand is for a full-time Bartender within HHM Hotels, a role that is pivotal in delivering memorable guest experiences through high-quality beverage service. The Bartender position is not only a frontline service role but also a vital element in maintaining the ambiance and operational efficiency of bar and lounge areas. Responsibilities will include preparing and serving beverages and food promptly while ensuring guest satisfaction and adherence to safety and sanitation standards. This role offers a clear growth trajectory within the company, with potential advancements to Beverage Manager, Restaurant Supervisor, Restaurant Manager, and ultimately Food & Beverage Manager positions for motivated individuals.

In this role, bartenders are expected to maintain clean and organized workstations, prepare garnishes by slicing and pitting fruits, verify customer identification to comply with legal age requirements, and carry out the full spectrum of service from order taking to payment processing. Attention to detail and compliance with hospitality best practices are crucial, especially in managing difficult situations such as handling intoxicated guests responsibly. Additionally, bartenders are involved in inventory management and sustainable operational practices aligned with HHM’s EarthView program. Employees in this role must commit to safety protocols including the use of protective gear and compliance with OSHA and MSDS regulations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Previous bartending or mixologist experience required or equivalent training
  • TIPS certified a plus
  • Food sanitation certificate a plus, required within 90 days of employment

Job Duties

  • Maintain clean and organize bar areas
  • Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
  • Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
  • Prepare and serve drink and or food orders
  • If applicable, take orders, and serve and clear food and beverage to guests seated at tables in bar and lounge areas
  • Issue guest check and complete payment process
  • Follow standards for identifying and managing intoxicated guests
