The Bartender position at HMSHost is a dynamic and engaging role designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Paying $13.00 per hour, this role involves greeting customers, taking drink and food orders, skilfully mixing and serving a variety of beverages including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, and handling transactions efficiently and accurately following company cash handling policies. The bartender is responsible for maintaining a clean and well-stocked bar area, ensuring excellent customer service, and communicating effectively with other team members and management to handle ticket orders and resolve any issues promptly. This role is essential in maintaining HMSHost’s reputation as a trusted hospitality provider and contributing to the overall positive experience of travelers and guests.

Candidates for this role should have at least one year of bartending experience, preferably in high-volume or fast casual dining environments. They must be knowledgeable about different types of alcoholic beverages and cocktail preparation, demonstrate strong interpersonal skills by engaging with customers warmly and enthusiastically, and be capable of handling up to 40 pounds of weight. The position also requires adherence to alcohol responsibility regulations and company policies to ensure a safe environment for all patrons. This non-exempt position typically reports to store management and is a key contributor to delivering excellent service and promoting a welcoming atmosphere.
