Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours a week
- Ability to stand or walk for 2-8 hours per day
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
- Ability to reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data
- Ability to work in both warm and cool environments indoors and outdoors
- Tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic
- Exposure to food, liquor, mixing devices, drink machines, water, sanitizers, cleaning products, knives, sharp objects, and slippery floors
Job Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and co-workers
- Possess the ethics and positive attitude that support company values and culture
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize
- Valid certification for serving alcohol
Job Duties
- Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions to guests as necessary
- Offering samples of frozen daiquiris and suggestive selling of other beverage items
- Take guest drink orders from patrons seated at the bar or from servers
- Input orders into the POS system
- Prepare guests drinks as ordered
- Slice fruit for garnishing drinks
- Clean bar and arrange glassware/plasticware for an attractive bar display
- Prepare bill and accept payment or refer guest to the appropriate cashier
- Clear or reset bar after each guest leaves
- Thank guests and kindly invite them back for a future drinking experience
- Serve as barback by filling machines and cleaning the entire bar occasionally
