Established with a mission to ignite fire and joy, Fogo de Chao is deeply committed to caring for its team members, guests, and the communities it serves. As a premium restaurant brand, Fogo de Chao combines authentic culinary traditions with a warm and inviting atmosphere, creating unforgettable moments for diners. The company strongly believes that better futures begin when everyone brings their best to the table, emphasizing teamwork, integrity, excellence, humility, and a supportive culture encapsulated by the phrase "Deixa Comigo" or "we've got you." This dedication extends beyond guests to include fulfilling career opportunities for team members, offering professional and personal growth at all levels.

The role of Bartender at Fogo de Chao is integral to the restaurant's commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction. This position involves more than just preparing drinks; it requires a dynamic individual who can welcome customers warmly, listen attentively to their preferences, and make thoughtful recommendations that enhance their dining experience. Bartenders must possess detailed knowledge of all menu items, including beverage contents and preparation methods, enabling them to confidently answer questions and effectively upsell items. They are responsible for selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages with precision and care.

Compliance with local, state, and federal liquor laws and food safety regulations is a critical aspect of the job, as bartenders must ensure the responsible service of alcoholic beverages and verify customer legal age. The role also demands keen organizational skills to maintain inventory levels and order supplies, ensuring bars and tables remain well-stocked and functional throughout service hours. Bartenders at Fogo de Chao are expected to manage multiple tables and tasks efficiently, handle financial transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive team environment by educating themselves and colleagues on bar terminology and beverage varieties.

Physical endurance is essential for this high-paced role, as bartenders frequently stand for prolonged periods and lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds. Mental acuity and resilience also play a significant role, allowing bartenders to handle conflict and high-stress situations with professionalism and composure. The position offers a fixed wage of $18.04 per hour plus eligibility for tips, further rewarding excellent service.

Fogo de Chao supports its team members with a comprehensive benefits package. Full-time hourly team members become eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days, alongside company-paid life insurance and short-term disability where applicable. Voluntary benefits include critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident coverage, permanent life, and pet insurance. Part-time team members have access to a minimum essential coverage health plan and other insurance options starting as early as the first month following their hire date.
