The Restaurant Supervisor role at DKN is a key leadership position, responsible for overseeing the front-of-house operations of the restaurant to ensure optimal guest satisfaction and efficient service delivery. This position requires a minimum of two years of experience in food and beverage service and supervisory roles within the hospitality sector. As a Restaurant Supervisor, you will lead a team by providing training, motivation, and guidance to maintain high performance and a guest-first mindset. Your role will involve managing day-to-day restaurant activities, including cash handling, inventory management, scheduling, and ensuring compliance with company standards and safety protocols. Job Requirements
- Minimum two years experience as a restaurant supervisor in a hotel, hospital, or building
- Two years in a supervisory capacity
- Good customer service skills
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments
- Basic accounting procedures, typing, cash register and computer skills
- English speaking
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to frequently walk indoors, outdoors, up and down stairs
- Ability to sit, bend, stoop, twist, reach, lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of two years food and beverage service background
- Preferably bartender and wine service experience
- Minimum of two years hotel experience as Restaurant Supervisor or progressive restaurant responsibility
- Strong English skills, both oral and written
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and procedures
- Ability to supervise and lead a front-of-house team
Job Duties
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must possess basic computational ability
- Ability to supervise, communicate and interact with subordinate staff, including but not limited to assignment of duties, evaluating service, and taking disciplinary action when necessary
- Knowledge of hotel food and beverage operations
- Knowledge of food and alcoholic beverages
- Assists in all cash handling functions including POS system, registers and daily reports
- Assures Restaurant achieves the highest standards in areas of cleanliness, preparation and service
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying in serving area and replenishing them
- Maintains safe, secure and healthy work environment
- Promotes team spirit and works together to achieve team goals
- Inspires others with enthusiasm and positive energy
- Excellent track record of adhering to scheduling attendance requirements
- Schedules parties and takes reservations, making every attempt to WOW! Every Guest
- Overseeing events, large parties, private dining and IRD
- Completing table side visits ensuring complete guest satisfaction
- Opening/Closing restaurant sending daily shift report to Management
- Make and serve drinks to clients/guests
- Run food/drinks to tables
- Deliver DKN’s "Home Away From Home" experience
- Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management
