Job Description
Schulte Hospitality Group and the Mining Exchange Hotel are seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Barista to join their team. Schulte Hospitality Group (SHG) is a leading third-party management company known for its strong service culture and commitment to hospitality excellence. SHG operates over 200 locations across 38 states and 3 countries, including a diverse portfolio of reputable brands such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and Hyatt, as well as independent, boutique, and lifestyle properties and restaurants. The company prides itself on fostering an inclusive, employee-focused workplace, offering career growth opportunities and a supportive environment where employees can feel engaged, empowered, and excited about their professional development.
The Barista role at SHG is more than just preparing coffee; it is about delivering exceptional customer service that reflects the company’s mission to exude hospitality, be respectful and authentic, and prioritize the needs of both internal and external stakeholders. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about the hospitality industry and thrive in an environment that values teamwork, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
As a Barista, you will play an integral role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests at the Mining Exchange Hotel by preparing and serving a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, blended coffee, tea, and more. You will be expected to customize each order to the customer's specifications, describe product details to help guests make informed choices, and ensure the availability and cleanliness of customer service stations. The role also includes handling customer payments, serving prepared foods and baked goods, maintaining inventory, and ensuring that equipment is sanitized and functioning correctly.
This position requires availability on weekends and holidays to meet the demands of the hospitality business. The company emphasizes the importance of team collaboration, effective communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. While previous barista experience is beneficial, SHG values a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the company above all.
Working with SHG means access to a robust benefits package designed to support your well-being and work-life balance. Employees enjoy perks such as Daily Pay, which allows them to access earned wages promptly, free telemedicine and virtual mental health care from day one, multiple health insurance and life insurance options, a 401k plan with company match, paid parental leave, paid time off, holiday pay, pet insurance, and an employee assistance program. Additionally, team members benefit from discounts through the Schulte Savings Marketplace on various products and services.
Joining SHG as a Barista means becoming part of a passionate team of hoteliers who are dedicated to making a positive impact in all they do. The role offers a rewarding, fun, and flexible work environment where career growth is encouraged and supported. This opportunity is ideal for someone who values hospitality, enjoys serving others, and wants to be part of a well-established, respected hospitality organization with room to grow.
