Job Description
Starbucks Coffee Company is a globally recognized coffeehouse chain known for crafting the world's finest coffee and creating meaningful moments in every cup served. Established in 1971, Starbucks has grown to become a staple in communities worldwide, offering a warm and welcoming environment where customers can gather, relax, and enjoy high-quality coffee and food products. The company emphasizes a culture of connection and inclusion, aiming to brighten each customer's day through personalized service, whether it's through remembering a favorite order or sharing a warm smile. Starbucks operates as a global leader in the coffee industry, combining innovation with socially responsible practices, including environmental sustainability and community engagement.
As a Starbucks partner, you join a team passionate about more than just coffee. The role of a Starbucks Barista is much more than preparing beverages; it’s about crafting experiences and moments that resonate with customers. This position is perfect for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy social interaction, and take pride in delivering exceptional service. No prior experience is necessary, as Starbucks invests in comprehensive training and development to empower partners for success and growth. The role offers the opportunity to engage in a variety of tasks during each shift, including preparing food and beverages to standard or customized recipes, handling cash transactions, ensuring store safety and security, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and operational excellence.
Starbucks is committed to the growth and well-being of its partners, offering industry-leading benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid parental leave, paid vacation and sick time, and a robust 401(k) retirement plan with employer match. Partners also have access to unique educational opportunities, including 100% tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree through the Starbucks College Achievement Plan in partnership with Arizona State University. The company’s inclusive culture supports diversity and equal opportunity, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds and providing reasonable accommodations as needed. The Starbucks Barista role is typically an entry-level position, with compensation dependent on geographic location and individual circumstances. It’s a career entry point that opens avenues for personal and professional development within a globally respected brand dedicated to quality, community, and connection.
