Job Description

The Sheraton Orlando Lake Buena Vista Resort is a distinguished hotel property that forms part of a larger complex consisting of four Marriott properties located in the Lake Buena Vista area. Known for its prime location nestled between Walt Disney World and Universal Studios, the Sheraton offers guests an unparalleled experience right in the heart of Orlando's most iconic attractions. Owned and operated by HEI Hotels and Resorts, a company renowned for prioritizing the welfare and growth of its associates, the Sheraton is more than just a place of hospitality. HEI Hotels and Resorts understands the critical importance of its workforce, recognizing that the success of the hotel is directly tied to the dedication, skills, and enthusiasm of its people. The company is deeply committed to creating an inclusive, diverse, and supportive work environment where every team member is valued and empowered to excel. This commitment is demonstrated through a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, ongoing training, and access to industry-leading tools and support.

The role available is centered on providing superior customer service while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in the food and beverage outlet. This position is a frontline opportunity to shape the guest experience from the moment they enter, ensuring that every interaction is marked by friendliness, efficiency, and professionalism. The job involves greeting customers warmly, carefully taking and preparing orders, accurately processing payments, and resolving any guest concerns in a tactful manner. The role requires meticulous attention to maintaining sanitation standards for the work areas, utensils, and service stations to ensure a safe and inviting environment for guests. In addition to operational duties, employees are expected to comply with financial protocols such as cash handling, reconciling payments, and managing cash drawers and house banks responsibly.

This position requires a person with excellent communication skills, the ability to handle point of sale systems, and the capacity to manage conflict and customer satisfaction with grace and effectiveness. The work environment can be physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand or sit for extended periods in sometimes confined spaces. However, the role offers a valuable chance to be part of a prestigious hotel property with a vibrant team committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

HEI Hotels and Resorts supports its associates by offering competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance programs, as well as financial benefits like supplemental and life insurance plans. Employees also benefit from paid vacation, sick and holiday time, pet insurance, short and long-term disability plans, and a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions. Additionally, the company offers unique perks including discounts on hotel rooms and through the 'YouDecide' program, all contributing to a rewarding and balanced work life. At HEI, the focus is on investing in the people that make the organization great, making the Sheraton Orlando Lake Buena Vista Resort an excellent place to grow a career in hospitality.
