Job Requirements
- Ability to move and or lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to quickly learn new procedures, processes and product knowledge
- 1-2 years of experience in food/beverage environments making smoothies or specialty beverages or experience in retail and hospitality
- Must have or obtain a Food Handlers License prior to employment
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as stooping, kneeling, or climbing
Job Qualifications

- Barista, nutrition and culinary education experience a plus
- Must have or obtain a Food Handlers License such as ServSafe prior to employment
Job Duties

- Maintain a calm demeanor, especially during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to Earthbar standard
- Anticipate customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers cues
- Deliver exceptional customer service to all customers
- Respond to customer needs in a timely manner
- Follow Earthbar operational policies and procedures, including cash handling, safety and security
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Provide quality beverages consistently by adhering to all recipes
- Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Demonstrate world class hospitality by greeting guests, respecting them and team, explaining the menu and company, recommending add-ons, and thanking customers
- Ensure speed of service by providing guests an incredible experience in an accurate and timely manner
- Contribute to team and guest positive culture and environment
- Demonstrate professional communication by reading verbal and non-verbal cues
- Obtain and demonstrate retail supplement education and product knowledge
- Up-sell products by recommending boosts and complementary items
- Answer phones with proper and professional etiquette
- Adapt to team dynamics and customer facing situations
- Sample in-store daily and at events when specified
- Review communication board for daily education, insights and company goals
- Consistently demonstrate a calm demeanor in fast-paced environments
- Treat mistakes as learning opportunities
- Complete daily opening and closing checklists and tasks
- Prepare food and beverages such as smoothies, juices, acai bowls, toast, lattes according to guide recipes and standards
- Ensure correct measurements follow all food and drink recipe preparations
- Complete tasks in a timely manner as designated by management
- Stock incoming orders and merchandise product accordingly
- Fill out waste log and other tracking documents
- Wash blenders and kitchen utensils
- Take timely duty-free meal and rest breaks
- Communicate proactively to management if product is running low
- Be comfortable with noise from blenders, juicers and other equipment
- Fulfill 3rd party and online orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Follow daily and weekly deep cleaning calendar
- Contribute feedback for closing manager reports
- Use technology and POS systems proficiently
- Possess Food Handlers Certification if required
- Check expiration on made to order and retail products daily
- Practice FIFO product handling
- Follow all safety and health guidelines
- Conduct sampling events
- Exhibit leadership competencies such as being action oriented, resilient, self-aware, guest focused and demonstrating interpersonal skills
