Job Description

Blue Donkey Coffee is a local, family-owned coffee roastery based in the Atlanta area, known for crafting and serving high-quality organic, craft coffee. With a strong commitment to community and quality, Blue Donkey Coffee operates several coffee shops throughout Atlanta, participates in local farmers markets, and caters various events. Beyond their café operations, they also roast and package gourmet coffee for both retail and wholesale customers, making them a prominent name in the local coffee scene. The company's dedication to sustainable practices and exceptional coffee experiences has earned them loyal customers who value the rich flavors and the inviting atmosphere they create.

The role of the Barista at Blue Donkey Coffee is crucial in maintaining the warm, welcoming environment the company prides itself on. This position is ideal for friendly and dependable individuals who enjoy engaging with customers and building relationships through excellent service. The Barista is expected to confidently manage their shifts, ensuring that the shop runs smoothly and that all operational needs are met efficiently. This involves preparing and serving expertly crafted coffee and espresso beverages, adhering to company quality standards, and operating the point-of-sale system to process transactions accurately. The position often requires working independently, so self-motivation and a positive representation of the company's values are essential.

Those hired will find themselves part of a team that values attention to detail, cleanliness, and consistent communication among staff members. The role demands adherence to food safety and personal safety guidelines, promoting a professional and hygienic workspace. Candidates should be comfortable with weekend shifts and flexible scheduling, as the company offers both part-time and full-time employment options. Starting pay is $12.00 per hour plus tips, with rates negotiable based on experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about coffee culture and customer service to join a growing local business committed to quality and community engagement.
