Job Description
Snowbird is a renowned resort destination located in the heart of the Wasatch Mountain Range in Salt Lake City, Utah. Famous for its stunning mountain views and challenging terrain, Snowbird offers an exceptional outdoor experience through its distinct summer and winter seasons. The resort is dedicated not only to providing world-class recreational activities but also to fostering a vibrant community of employees who share a passion for the outdoors and mountain lifestyle. Snowbird is continuously seeking motivated individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy serving guests with enthusiasm and professionalism. This welcoming workplace offers a variety of employment opportunities, including full-time, part-time, and seasonal roles, reflecting the seasonal nature of the resort’s operations and the diverse needs of its visitors.
The Barista/Counter Server position at Snowbird is a full-time, year-round role located at Baked and Brewed and Tram Car Pizza within the Snowbird Center. This position is critical in delivering excellent customer service experiences to resort guests, combining food and beverage preparation with direct customer interaction. The Barista/Counter Server is responsible for taking and accurately processing customer orders, expertly preparing coffee drinks, serving pizzas, and maintaining an organized and efficient service area. Working in this role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting. Employees in this position contribute significantly to the overall guest satisfaction and play an essential role in the successful operations of the resort’s dining outlets.
The work schedule varies based on business needs, including weekends and holidays, reflecting the busy and sometimes unpredictable environment of a mountain resort. Candidates must be adaptable, with the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including occasional overnight stays during periods of road closures or adverse weather conditions. The job also demands physical endurance, such as standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 pounds. The Barista/Counter Server must maintain a positive attitude under pressure, engage warmly with guests, and collaborate efficiently with team members across Snowbird’s departments. This position demands an individual who is organized, reliable, and passionate about hospitality in a unique mountain setting.
Snowbird takes pride in offering a well-rounded benefits package designed to support its employees' health, well-being, and lifestyle. Benefits include ski passes, discounts at various Snowbird venues, medical and dental insurance options, 401k retirement plans, and convenient transportation options like free shuttles and rideshare vans. The resort strongly values diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering an environment free from discrimination and harassment. Snowbird invites candidates who share its values and enjoy working in a beautiful, energetic mountain environment to apply and become a part of its dedicated team.
