Within this esteemed healthcare environment, the role being offered is for a Starbucks Barista within Adventist Health Bakersfield. This position is vital in supporting the food and beverage services that contribute to the comfort and satisfaction of patients, visitors, and staff. The Starbucks Barista is responsible for preparing high-quality beverages and food products that meet customer expectations while upholding the operational standards and Starbucks guiding principles. This is a customer-facing role that requires attentiveness, cleanliness, and commitment to providing an excellent customer experience.
Key responsibilities of this role include completing and preparing customer orders accurately and efficiently, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and performing both opening and closing duties for the beverage service area. The Barista also ensures that all food items are properly labeled and dated, assembles and delivers trays to customers, and aids in the training and coaching of new employees. The role demands collaboration within the team to implement new department policies, techniques, and instrumentation, as well as regular review and updating of relevant policies and procedures to maintain a high standard of service. To thrive in this position, candidates are expected to possess a high school diploma or GED, with preferred additional education such as an associate’s or technical degree or equivalent relevant experience.
