Currently, Columbia Hospitality is seeking a part-time Barista for its Basecamp location. The Barista role is fundamental in delivering high-quality coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages while providing outstanding customer service in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This position is hourly paid at $15.00 per hour, with eligibility for tip pooling and daily pay options, giving employees flexibility and timely earnings. The Barista supports smooth café or coffee bar operations by preparing and serving beverages according to company standards, engaging warmly with guests, handling transactions, maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and operating coffee and espresso equipment safely and efficiently.

This role requires the Barista to be adaptable and efficient in a fast-paced environment, often assisting with training new team members and addressing guest inquiries or special requests professionally. Job Requirements

  • Prior café, coffee, or food & beverage experience required
  • Barista certification or coffee/espresso training preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Experience with POS systems
  • Capability to multitask in fast-paced environments
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Prior café, coffee, or food & beverage experience
  • Barista certification or completion of formal coffee/espresso training preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and team members
  • Knowledge of coffee preparation, brewing techniques, and beverage presentation is a plus
  • Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems for order taking and cash handling
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso, tea, and other beverages according to company standards
  • Greet guests warmly, take orders, and provide product recommendations
  • Operate coffee and espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including beverage stations, counters, and dining areas
  • Handle cash, credit, and digital payment transactions accurately
  • Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management
  • Restock coffee bar and serving stations with necessary amenities (lids, straws, napkins, etc.)
  • Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • May assist with training new team members and supporting co-workers during peak periods
  • Address guest questions, concerns, or special requests promptly and professionally
  • Other tasks as assigned
