With a strong commitment to enhancing quality of life and promoting sustainability, Sodexo operates in numerous countries worldwide, serving millions of customers daily. The company prides itself on creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where employees are valued for their unique contributions and supported to grow professionally and personally.

At Erlanger Baroness Hospital, Sodexo is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join their team as Baristas. This position offers both full-time and part-time employment opportunities with competitive hourly pay set at $15.00. The role of a Barista I at Sodexo is pivotal in delivering an exceptional customer experience through the preparation and serving of high-quality handcrafted beverages. Working in a fast-paced environment, the Barista will engage directly with customers, ensuring each guest receives personalized and friendly service. The work schedule involves varying shifts during the day, requiring flexibility and open availability.

The Barista I role goes beyond just making coffee; it requires passion, precision, and attention to detail to prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages such as espresso, cappuccino, café latte, teas, and specialty drinks like chai or fruit blends. Baristas are expected to maintain a clean and organized coffee bar or cart, manage inventory of supplies, and arrange displays to enhance customer appeal. Strong communication skills are essential to effectively educate guests about menu offerings and encourage suggestive selling, contributing to the overall revenue goals.

Physical demands of the job include standing or walking for extended periods, sometimes exceeding 8 hours per shift. Baristas will need to lift or move items weighing up to 35 pounds frequently and occasionally handle heavier loads up to 50 pounds. Familiarity with food safety, sanitation standards, and cash handling procedures is necessary to ensure compliance and maintain operational efficiency.

Sodexo values its employees by offering a supportive and flexible work environment that recognizes life’s important moments. Employees have access to ongoing training and development, opening avenues for career advancement within the organization. The company provides a comprehensive benefits package that covers paid time off, holidays, medical and dental insurance, vision care, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) retirement plans, employee discount programs, and more. Depending on the work location, additional benefits such as free meals during shifts, uniforms, safety shoes, and transportation support may be provided.

Sodexo is committed to fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging, ensuring a respectful workplace where everyone’s voice is heard. Equal employment opportunities are extended to all qualified individuals without discrimination based on race, gender, religion, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic. Candidates are encouraged to discuss any questions regarding benefits or job specifics during the interview process with Sodexo representatives. By joining Sodexo as a Barista, employees become part of a company that strives to create better everyday experiences not only for customers but also for team members around the world.
