Physical requirements are an important aspect of the role, as the job involves significant walking, standing throughout long shifts, and manual handling of equipment and supplies up to 50 pounds.

- High School diploma GED or equivalent experience
- customer service related work experience
- knowledge of food preparation sanitation standards and inventory control systems
- Starbucks Baristas may be required to be certified

Job Duties
- Greet all guests and provide quick friendly and personalized service
- mix and serve hot and cold beverages such as coffee espresso cappuccino cafe latte tea chai fruit blend drinks while considering customer specifications
- maintain good customer relations and ensure speedy delivery of all beverages and food items
- educate guests regarding menu offerings and initiate suggestive selling
- arrange coffee bar and cart supplies and cups and mugs to make attractive displays
- clean coffee machines restaurant areas and preparation areas
- record all sales collect money operate a cash register and follow all cash-handling procedures
- perform significant walking or other means of mobility
- walk or stand for extended periods during shifts which may exceed 8 hours
- reach bend stoop push or pull and frequently lift up to 35 pounds occasionally lift or move 50 pounds
- attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
- perform other duties as assigned which may vary among accounts
