Job Requirements
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Exert physical effort in carrying 5lbs to 40lbs
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas
- Reach 1 to 2 feet
- Remain in stationary position and standing for 6 to 8 hours throughout work shift
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista an asset
- Food handling certificate
- Previous point of sale system experience an asset
- Highly responsible and reliable
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
- Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal
- Compute basic arithmetic
Job Duties
- Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
- Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way
- Follow Starbucks policies, procedures and service standards
- Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions
- Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
- Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, weekends, and/or holidays
- Follow all cash handling policies and procedures
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Other tasks and projects as assigned
