Compass Group USA is currently hiring for Barista positions at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay located at 2420 Nicolet Drive, Green Bay, WI 54311. The company is conducting in-person hiring events on July 6th and July 7th, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the campus student union cafeteria. These events offer the opportunity for on-the-spot job offers, making it a convenient way for interested candidates to join the team quickly. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available, including day and PM shifts and rotating weekends. While prior barista experience is preferred, it is not a mandatory requirement. The pay rate ranges from $12.00 to $18.00 per hour.
In the role of Barista, employees will prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, and related food and beverage items while adhering to HACCP guidelines and standards to ensure food safety and quality. The role requires excellent customer service skills to interact with customers and colleagues in a courteous and friendly manner. Baristas are responsible for maintaining clean and orderly workspaces, accurately handling orders and payments using point-of-sale devices, replenishing supplies, and ensuring proper food presentation and portion control. Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
- enters orders accurately into POS device
- accepts cash and charge payments
- replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
- ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
- greets customers courteously and interacts to ensure customer satisfaction
- serves customers quickly and efficiently to prevent delays in serving lines
- explains daily menu items accurately to customers
- establishes good communication and assists in customer buying decisions
- ensures all display foods are merchandised attractively and serves food neatly and attractively
- cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving
- performs other duties as assigned
