The company is currently hiring immediately for the position of Barista at its Hoosier Village location in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, providing a flexible schedule primarily from Monday to Friday between 8:45 am and 4:00 pm, with the possibility of working Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm as needed. The hourly pay ranges from $19.00 to $21.00, reflecting competitive compensation for the hospitality sector in the region.

As a Barista at Morrison Living, you will be a key member of the culinary team, which is the heart of the company’s business. This position focuses on crafting and serving high-quality coffee and espresso beverages, as well as related food and beverage items. The role demands not only proficiency in preparing drinks to precise standards using espresso orders and recipes but also adherence to food safety and sanitation guidelines outlined by HACCP. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in your service area, replenishing supplies, handling payments accurately through the point of sale system, and ensuring an inviting and efficient customer service experience.

In this position, you will engage directly with customers and coworkers with friendliness and courtesy, creating a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience. Understanding the daily menu items thoroughly, articulating them clearly to customers, and using effective selling techniques are essential components of the role. The Barista must also ensure the proper presentation of food and drinks, maintaining appropriate temperatures and portion control consistent with company standards. Additionally, the role involves supporting team members by keeping equipment clean, responding to customer concerns promptly, and performing other related duties as assigned to uphold operational excellence.
