Job Requirements
- prior barista experience preferred
- ability to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends
- authorization to work in the United States
- able to stand for extended periods
- good communication skills
- able to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- willingness to learn and take direction
- reliable and punctual
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior barista experience preferred
- ability to operate POS systems accurately
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- ability to work flexible hours including mornings, evenings, weekends
- ability to work effectively as part of a team
- basic math skills for handling cash and payments
Job Duties
- makes and serves coffee and espresso drinks and related food and beverage items
- handles food according to HACCP guidelines and standards for quality food-service operations
- interacts with customers and other employees in a friendly, courteous manner
- prepares espresso orders for customers and catering using standard measures and recipes
- accurately enters orders into POS device and accepts cash and charge payments
- replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service area
- ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures
- follows HACCP standards
- maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils
- greets customers courteously and ensures customer satisfaction
- serves customers quickly and efficiently to prevent delays
- demonstrates understanding of daily menu items and accurately explains them
- advocates selling techniques by establishing good communication and assisting customer decision-making
- ensures all display foods are attractively merchandised per standards
- serves food neatly and attractively
- performs other duties as assigned
